Loudest morning I've ever heard.
September 17th, 2008
I don't know what it is about musicians from Oregon, but they win. I came across a new band a while back called Blind Pilot via iTunes' featured free download. It was pretty much the only free download I've really enjoyed from iTunes EVER. Anyhow, despite having enjoyed the download as much as I did, I didn't get to buy their album called "3 Rounds and a Sound" until more than 2 weeks ago. So, now that I've been living with it for a little less than a month, I can say that it is AWESOME! LOooOoOOve it! Love at first listen even. Every time I come across one of these love-at-first-listens, the artist or band quickly becomes one of my faves. Although, I always wait until the second album to see if they can still turn me on. So I guess we'll see. Meanwhile, I will recommend you listen to this, especially if you like Modest Mouse, and The Shins. Very light, but powerful music.
Warning though; their songs will make you feel happy and weepy at the same time. So, brace yourself. http://www.myspace.com/goblindpilot
On to other things...
I feel like crying now. Dammit Blind Pilot! Oh, then again I DID just finish watching Little Miss Sunshine. What a great movie. First time watching it—yes I'm late. *Sigh* I wanted to post a podcast for you guys today but the Tedso was not in the mood for getting choked by me. Ain't that somethin'? Who wouldn't wanna' get love choked by me? I mean c'mon! I was really looking forward to hanging out with him today too. I'm tired of working and thinking about work. My brain doesn't rest. I find myself having dreams that I'm working. No joke. Sure it's easy for everyone to say "you need to get out more". It's not that easy, and I DO get out when life allows. Well, at least I've got a few shows to go to next month. That will be fun. There's always a bright side. Always. Chromeo Holler!
Been working on music lately. My therapy. Some experimental stuff to get my creative juices flowing for the big project. I'm expecting to release an EP soon with those experimental songs. It will be a fun time getting those songs done and sharing them with you all.
Check out this song from another one of my experimental stages a few years ago called "Quit Life". Actually this was a demo and a Garage Band (program) experimentation. This was when I was trying to get myself better acquainted with Garage Band. We're best friends now. Recorded this with the compy mic. That's how to do it!:
Man, I'm sleepy. I don't even know why I'm attempting to write this blog. I haven't posted anything super informational for mega long. I will post a blog about how light affects our DNA makeup/structure next week. In the meantime, we can chat via AIM: estalijeangoode
